Super Bowl a huge Success for DPC- February 2005

Hosting 24 groups during Super Bowl was a great task for Destination Planning Corporation. With such clients as Fidelity National Financial, MCI, Coca Cola, Verizon, and many others; Destination Planning expanded their team to 72 associates from Jacksonville, St Augustine, and Amelia Island for the duration of Super Bowl planning and execution.

Ribbon Cutting- March 8 th 2005

The Jacksonville Chamber Beaches Division held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Destination Planning Corporation, which opened an office in Jacksonville Beach in January. Participants were Ken Smith, Chris Klotz, Kerry Clark, Jennifer Bates, Jennifer Barbella, Norma Webster, Jane Wytzka, Anne Urban, Sue Sweeney, Clyde Rader, and Angeline Cook.

DPC Anniversary Party- April 1 st 2005

On April Fools Day 2005 Destination Planning Corporation had their anniversary party at the Casa Marina hotel on the Jacksonville Beach oceanfront. The all-day event was a chance to reflect on a remarkable year of business, friendships, and relationships with many more to come. The historic Casa Marina Hotel is DPC’s newest lodging partner.

Welcoming our newest member to the team- June 1 st 2005

DPC welcomes Michelle Reyna to the events team as Director of Tours and Creative Services. Michelle has been developing new tours and spouse programs, along with many other activities such as a new Mystery Dinner Theater and the Haunted Pub Crawls. Being of Minorcan descent Michelle can trace her lineage back to 1700s in St Augustine. Michelle has been recently featured on the Today Show and Good Morning America. She has been storytelling for more than 30 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and history of St Augustine, Jacksonville, and Amelia Island.

DPC Summer Tour Specials- June through September

To promote the significant newly-developed tour and activities menu, DPC is offering special pricing and incentives for summer tours. Specials such as free lunch with any full length tour are offered to meeting planners and tour operators. Some of the new specialized tours include: The Legends of Piracy on Amelia Island, African American History in St Augustine, The Untold Tales of Okeefenokee, and many others. DPC also offers period dress character for a lunch or dinner theater, from Franklin D. Roosevelt to Captain Jack the Ugly to Henry Flagler.

Anne Urban Elected as North Florida Meeting Professionals International President- June 21 st 2005

Anne Urban has been installed as President of the North Florida chapter of Meeting Professionals International. NF MPI Covers Pensacola through the First Coast down to Daytona and has been in operation for more than 10 years. Anne’s goals as President for the 2005/2006 term are to increase planner membership, improve educational sessions, and increase business to business opportunities between meeting professionals and suppliers in our region.

100 Successful Programs Milestone - May 8 th 2005

After the conclusion of the nearly 700 attendee Interline Brands conference and trade show in Ponte Vedra Beach, DPC completed their 100 th conference and event, a milestone for the company. Destination Planning thanks all that made these programs a success.
